Mr. Coker is the founder of Hotel Tax Consultants, LLC.  He draws on years of experience studying hotel valuation and the various methods of separating exempt intangible assets from tangible taxable assets to prepare hotel property tax cases.  He is a Texas licensed senior property tax consultant and has been licensed since 2008.  Before founding Hotel Tax Consultants, LLC, he was a senior consultant at a multinational property tax company where he was in charge of preparing all the west Texas hotel cases for the company.  Mr. Coker began his career at a local property tax company in Dallas.  He received an MBA with a concentration in real estate from the University of North Texas and a BA from the University of Georgia.  He has completed courses from the Appraisal Institute, the American Society of Appraisers, Marshall & Swift, the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.  He earned the CMI designation from the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.  The CMI is the highest designation in the property tax industry.  Outside of work he enjoys reading as well as cycling, running, and rowing.
